Introduction of the parts of an IEP/ Ideas for Self-Care ( Advocacy in Education Support Group)— Cancelled

October 20, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

Families together will offer a monthly support group for parents to help them better advocate for the needs of their student. Each session will start with a short lesson on how to build resilience in families, followed by time devoted to parents supporting each other with problems and concerns. Families Together believes that family involvement, community programs and direct supports for individuals with disabilities are essential to increase their resiliency, accessibility in reaching their potential, and maintaining a fulfilling life that contributes to society.

Childcare will be provided for in person sessions upon request. We will be following all Covid-19 requirements for gatherings for the State of Washington including wellness check at the door, masks and social distancing during our program. In case of facility closure due to covid the classes will transition to zoom, and childcare will not be provided. There is no cost to attend the event but you must register. This ensures that we are able to provide you with access to the online class if needed. Class will be limited to 8 participants for in person classes.  To register contact Beth Ficklin:
