STAR SEARCH – COME BE A STAR WITH US!

Date: Saturday March 31st and Sunday April 1st

University Inn Best Western, Moscow, Idaho

STAR SEARCH Opening Ceremony will begin at 9:30 on Saturday morning.

Plan to arrive at 9:00 to get in and get ready!

Kids will make a recording, ride in a lomo, dress up, sing, dance, and perform for everyone.

While they are learning to be stars, parents will have a chance to discuss behavior, working with schools, and share the successes they have had.

Tom Weddle will lead a lively discussion on behavior. Tom is a Behavior Consultant in the Spokane Public Schools and the father to two teen age daughters with aspergers.  Linda Anderson will share her experience as a Mom who moved across the country to get her child the best program, Gerriann Armstrong will talk about her recent choice to take a break from school and how she got there. There are many other success stories to share – as well as problems that need to be solved.

We will work until 3:30 and then take time to check in our rooms and go for a swim.  Kids will eat at 5:30 with parent help and the evening will begin with an after dinner show – or is that a before dinner show because —– after the show the parents will go to a parent’s night out where they will have dinner together by candle light.

The evening will end at 9:30 – Parents and kids will try to get a good night sleep.

Sunday morning will be a full breakfast starting at 8:00 followed by more fun for kids and more time to learn for parents.

STAR SEARCH CLOSING CEREMONY will be at 11:30 and we will say good-bye at 12:00.

Chris and Jason are busy thinking about all those fun family activities that will be done at meal time.  Any suggestions?

Just a note:  There will be a room for everyone for Saturday night that will be paid for by Families Together (and all your meals are on us).  However, if you want to come in on Friday evening, you will be responsible for paying for your room.  The hotel will be very full on Friday evening.  At this time they only blocked 5 rooms for Friday.  The rooms cost $109.00.
