A Fun Recipe for Kids

Cheesey Cottage Fries

Ingredients
24 frozen cottage potato fries
4 ounces (125g) sharp natural cheddar cheese 12 cherry tomatoes
Toothpicks
Directions
Place the frozen cottage fries on a cookie sheet and cook according to directions on package. Meanwhile slice the cheese and then cut into 24 1-inch squares. Cut the tomatoes in half. Remove cottage fries from oven and top each one with a cheese square and a tomato half. Secure with a toothpick. Return to oven for a few minutes until cheese is just melted. These snacks are best served warm. Yield: 24 snacks.
Note: Instead of frozen cottage fries, try potato puffs. Flatten them slightly and use a bottle cap to cut round shapes in the cheese slices. The kids will enjoy helping you prepare these snacks.
